Founded in the fall of 2015, the Rhode Island Magic has grown into the largest and longest-running AAU boys basketball program in Rhode Island and one of New England’s premier AAU basketball organizations. We proudly serve boys and girls from across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Our continued success and growth are built on a simple philosophy: great coaching creates great experiences. We understand that coaching quality is one of the most important factors families consider when choosing an AAU program. That is why we have assembled an exceptional staff of experienced educators and coaches from the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. Many of our coaches currently lead interscholastic programs, hold USA Basketball Gold Coach Licenses, and are committed to continually improving through clinics, collaboration, and professional development.

Our mission extends far beyond wins and losses. We strive to create a positive, challenging environment where players develop their basketball skills, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and learn valuable life lessons that extend well beyond the game. We also believe that consistent, high-quality instruction is the key to player development. Every Rhode Island Magic player has at least three opportunities each week to be in the gym working with experienced coaches through team practices, skill development sessions, and other training opportunities. The Rhode Island Magic is a proud member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). All participants are required to obtain an AAU membership before participating.
